The benefits of cycling might include fitness, health and happiness, but when you’re pedalling with a purpose, there’s even more reason to enjoy the ride.
So Hall Browns is very proud to be sponsoring Darren de Jong, Joe Wood and the team from Goodwood Finance who are putting their bodies on the line in late March, for two very worthy causes.
The Valley Velo on 25 May, 2024 takes in some of the most picturesque landscapes in South East Queensland. Having said that, the cycling adventure is along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, a potentially punishing off-road track from Wulkuraka at Ipswich, to Yarraman in the South Burnett.
The payoff will be funds raised to support the MND and Me Foundation, and the Compass Institute Inc.
MND and me assists people living with Motor Neurone Disease in Queensland, as well as their nearest and dearest. It relies on generous donations to deliver support programs and research into treatments and a cure for MND.
Compass provides help for people with intellectual and/or physical disabilities, and its team is driven by the belief that there’s potential in everyone, and everyone deserves an opportunity to create the life of their choice.
They’re both incredibly important For Purpose organisations, so whether it’s the 50km, 100km or 150km challenge that each of the riders has signed up for, we congratulate our friends at Goodwood Finance and wish them a great ride, all the way to the finish line.
